Olaf Kolkman is the Principal - Internet Technology, Policy, and Advocacy at the Internet Society.

Olaf has two and a half decades of experience in Internet technology and policy matters, in particular those related to security and trustworthiness of the Internet.

He is an executive level advisor to, and spokesperson of, the Internet Society. He strategises, formulates, reviews and advises on technical and policy issues.

He serves on several advisory boards and is treasurer of the Global Forum on Expertise in Cyberspace. He served as IAB chair between 2007 and 2011 and was commissioner of the Global Commission on the Stability of Cyberspace.

Roland van Rijswijk-Deij is professor of measurement-based Internet Security at the University of Twente in The Netherlands. His research interests include the security of core Internet infrastructures, such as the Domain Name System and Routing, and the transition of Internet trust infrastructures to quantum-safe cryptographic algorithms at an Internet-wide scale. In previous roles in industry, Roland led innovation projects in the areas of network security, and trust and identity. Next to his position at the University of Twente, Roland is also Principal Scientist at NLnet Labs, a not-for-profit foundation that develops free and open source software for core Internet protocols (DNS, RPKI) and performs applied research on Internet technology.

Robert is a Dutch engineer and analyst who has previously lived a number of years in Russia and Ukraine, which aroused his interest in studying and analyzing Russian propaganda, disinfo and trolls.

After finishing his post-academic journalism studies at the Erasmus University of Rotterdam he started developing ways to detect trolls and disinfo campaigns on social media.

His work has been published by a wide variety of newspapers, thinktanks and media such as Volkskrant, Groene Amsterdammer, Integrity Initiative, Atlantic Council, Bellingcat, Wall Street Journal, The Daily Beast and others.

In 2019 (with partner Richard Odekerken) he founded software company ‘Trollrensics’ which specializes in analysis of hybrid warfare, troll armies and propaganda on various social media platforms.

Alejandro is mostly a journalist, sometimes a consultant, and incidentally a product developer. He started VICE's tech and science channel Motherboard in The Netherlands, and served as editor-in-chief and later publisher at TNW. After that he joined Saulx, a company building real time infrastructure to power the next generation of the web.

Experiencing these different perspectives on publishing, online social connection and distribution, and the technology underpinning all of this, he developed a strong conviction about where life on the internet is going. And it's not web3 or the metaverse.

Tom van Arman is Smart City Architect based in the city of Amsterdam. As an urban planner and technologist, Tom uses IoT, AI, API’s and open data to as a design tool to create more livable and inclusive cities. In 2010 he founded Tapp, an award winning smart city design agency enabling local governments and industries to bridge the gap between the built environment and new digital landscape.

Serge Radovcic has accumulated more than 22 years of experience in the Internet Industry. His background is based primarily working for, with and around Internet Exchange Points from not only Europe but throughout the world.

Serge played an integral role in initiating and developing the European Internet Exchange Association (Euro-IX) from its very beginning in 2001 and via his nine years as Chief Communications Officer at the RIPE NCC, has been working with numerous other IXP, Peering related and IP community fora around Europe, including the European Peering Forum (EPF), the Middle East Network Operators Group (MENOG), the Euro Asian Network Operator Group (ENOG) and the South East Europe Regional Initiative (SEE).

His current Senior Strategic role at the Dstream Group has kept him touch with a number of high profile IXPs in Europe and he continues to play a role in assisting the development of interconnection points to fulfil the ever changing demands of both current and future customers that wish to find more efficient and secure solutions to their networking needs.

Wilfried Dudink is Director Strategy & Development, Connectivity EMEA at Interxion: A Digital Realty Company, responsible for Strategic Initiatives that seed future business, such as Edge Computing, Internet Peering and B2C platforms Furthermore. business development with selected Strategic Accounts in the Connectivity segment, and Market Development, strengthen the connectivity foundation across key EMEA markets.

Prior to this he was Managing Director, at Leaseweb CDN B.V. Based in Amsterdam, where he was responsible for the Content Services, including the Multi CDN and security solutions. And also he spend 7 years at CenturyLink (Level 3) as Director Content Solutions, where he was responsible for selling services such as Content Delivery Networks (CDNs), Website Acceleration, Media Delivery, in the EMEA region, and he also acted as a product specialist for these services.

Before that, he held several sales and channel development management roles at companies including Deutsche Telekom, Telia International Carrier and Limelight Networks, and over the years he gained market and product experience on CDNs and Internet infrastructure. He was also chairman of the Amsterdam Internet Exchange.

He is a regular speaker and panellist on Broadcast Technology, CDN’s, OTT, and Edge Computing.

Tom is the Edge Network Technical Lead at Cloudflare, working on a wide variety of problems, ranging from building out a backbone from scratch, to mitigating route leaks.

Mike is Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at AMS-IX since 2019. Before joining AMS-IX, he worked at CGI for 15 years, where he held several positions. Mike has a Technical Software Engineering and IT consultancy background which enables him to easily relate to both Information Technology and Technical Infrastructure topics.

Peter van Burgel is a passionate professional with more than 20 years of management experience at various ICT and telecom companies. Since 2018 he is CEO AMS-IX, one of the largest Internet exchanges in the world. Before joining AMS-IX, van Burgel worked as Director of Digital Transformation at Westcon. Peter is particularly interested in the topics Global & IT Business Transformation and Change Management.

Ruben proudly joined AMS-IX in 2021. With an academic degree in mathematics, he started his business career in media broadcast IT. He held several management positions at Technicolor and Ericsson, focussing on network and datacenter services. In 2016, Ruben decided to join the SURFnet executive management team, leading the network department. At SURFnet, the Dutch national research and education network, he was responsible for the development and automated deployment of SURFnet8, as well the innovation programme for network services.

Joep is an entrepreneur and programmer who has started his work in the e-democracy field with Argu.co, and later expanded to data sharing with Ontola and Dexes. Joep's passion for decentralising the web led him to work with Tim Berners-Lee on the Solid project, and after that create Atomic Data.

Caspar Schutijser is a research engineer at SIDN Labs, the research team of the operator of the .NL top-level domain. At SIDN Labs, he works on researching and developing the internet of the future.

Andreas Weiss is responsible for the eco business unit “Digital Business Models” and member of the Executive Board of eco – Association of the Internet Industry. He is active for eco since 1998, initially for the competence group E-Business & Logistics and further on E-Business. Since 2010 he is assigned as Director EuroCloud Germany and since 2019 Board Member of Trusted Cloud Competence Network. In general he is engaged in various projects for Artificial Intelligence, Data Privacy and GDPR as well as security and compliance of digital services. Since 2019 he is engaged to specify GAIA-X and coordinates the development of the GAIA-X Federation Services.

Sander Duivestein is a top-rated trendwatcher, author, keynote speaker, digital business entrepreneur, and strategic advisor on disruptive innovations. Kamil Sznejder joined ADVA in 2011 and he's managing the product line for high-speed and secure optical connectivity. In his role, he's focused on consulting of market specific connectivity solutions for enterprises, internet and cloud providers, industrial, public and governmental sectors, translating market requirements into technical innovations. Kamil has graduated from the Gdansk Univeristy of Technology, with a degree in Electronics and Telecommunication.

Sasha is an independent developer, project consultant, and community organiser. Her experience includes over a decade of Python development, being a former core developer on the popular Django web framework, and co-organising documentation communities. Currently, many of her projects center around network management and internet infrastructure. This includes the initial and ongoing design and development of the Internet Routing Registry Daemon (IRRD), which powers large parts of the IRR system. This project has enabled new innovation in this area, with more improvements to come, which will benefit not only IRRD operators, but also the whole community.

Steven has over 25 years of experience in various parts of the Internet industry such as Network and Systems Operations, Network Architecture, Software Development, and Technical Pre-Sales. He has been at AMS-IX for over 15 years, and previously worked at AT&T, DANTE (now Géant) and SARA (now Interxion). Steven holds a master’s degree in Computer Science from the Vrije University in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
